IT’S AN ALL EAGLES AFFAIR!

Tomorrow, Saturday 7th May 2022 marks the return of the NERL season and what better way to kick off the campaign with an all Eagles affair.

Edinburgh Eagles return to the North East for the first time since being crowned champions in 2019, following the hiatus due to Covid and they will be looking to clip their opponents wings for the very first time.

The squad have worked hard in pre-season and we caught up with Head Coach Craig Robertson after the final training session this week.

I have been really pleased with the efforts of the boys over the last few weeks as we have geared up to the launch of the season. Wallsend away for the first game of the season is set to be a tasty encounter and as tough as they come for a season opener. However preparations have gone well and we can’t wait to get out on the pitch come 2pm on Saturday.

Scotland’s premier Rugby League club will be looking to soar high as they look to return with a win and the 2 points.

The travelling squad to face Wallsend tomorrow is:

Alex Williams
Apenai Kororua
Andrew Brown
Bill Rokobuli
Callum McKay
Craig Robertson
Danny Bete
Inosi Korovavala
Jacob Holt
James Elliot
Joe Anderson
Keni Dakuidreketi
Lewis Clarke (c)
Mikey Mair
Orisi Waibuta
Pedro Canakaivata
Roserutabua Tawa
Sean Taylor
Spike Birkett
Tom Murray
Tom Tulele

For any fans looking to travel down to support the team, the game kicks off at 2pm and will be played at Wallsend Eagles RLFC, St Peter’s Field, Caesar Way, Wallsend, NE28 7JN

Let’s go Eagles! (Edinburgh that is!)
